Tom broke his silence on his relationship status in a homemade video, where he deliberately avoided making any kind of clarification about his sexuality, saying that he "still fancies" girls. It was always in the back of my head something like that could happen. The diver's popularity has soared since his revelation, with a new TV series planned for ITV2, and a new sponsorship with Adidas.Opening up in the video, Tom said: "I've been dating girls and never had a serious relationship to talk about and now I feel ready to talk about relationships this year. I met someone and they make me feel so happy, so safe, and everything just feels great. And he has been regularly pictured with boyfriend Dustin Lance Black, on both sides of the Atlantic, with Dustin recently travelling to visit Tom in London, where the two were pictured in Stratford, near Tom's training venue.
After complaining that he had been misquoted in an interview over his sexuality, Daley recorded a five-minute clip before tweeting: "Got something I need to say..been an easy decision to make, hope you can support me!
:)." In the short video, he said: "In spring this year my life changed massively when I met someone, and they make me feel so happy, so safe and everything just feels great.
Daley talks about how he slipped into a depression after winning a bronze medal in 2012, but got back on his feet when he moved to London, where Black also now spends most of his time.
Today, Daley is enmeshed in a relentless training schedule, including the same food every day and a daily bedtime of 10 p.m.
He took bronze in the same event at last year's London Olympics.
